Root Canal Treatment is a complicated treatment of the infected pulp and nerve chamber of a tooth which results in the elimination of infection and the sealing of the nerve canals so that future microbial invasion is inhibited.
Root Canals are the physical hollows within a tooth that are naturally inhabited by nerve tissue and blood vessels.
Root Canal Treatment involves the removal of these structures and bacterial infection by shaping, cleaning and decontamination of the hollows with small files and irrigation solutions. The canals are then sealed with gutta percha and a eugenol based cement.
